Education & Management Task Force

Background

The Education and Management Task Force (EMTF) was set up to manage and develop IASO’s education programme, SCOPE - Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Certification. It addresses clinical management guidelines and their relationship to other disciplines, including: hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and bariatric surgery.
The EMTF also deals with issues pertaining to the management of specific population groups, for example children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and different ethnic groups. It builds and maintains close relationships with the international medical associations of related disorders.
