Education & Management TaskForce

Background:

The Education and Management Task Force (EMTF) was set up to manage and develop IASO’s education programme, SCOPE. It will address the issue of clinical management guidelines and the relationship of these guidelines to other disciplines e.g. hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, bariatric surgery etc and will deal with issues pertaining to the management of specific population groups e.g. children, the elderly, people with disabilities, different ethnic groups etc. The EMTF will build and maintain close relationships with the international medical associations of related disorders.

Overview on EMTF Activities:

• Launch and develop the SCOPE online course
• Facilitate SCOPE face-to-face courses
• Explore regional expansion of SCOPE
• Explore possible expansion to non clinical practitioners
• Develop a SCOPE Ambassador scheme
• Establish a SCOPE Summer School

• Establish an annual clinical conference
• Develop the IASO Stock Conference Programme
